Bobby speaking to residents

Stop The Supermarket Rip-Off

In the middle of a cost of living crisis, supermarkets are cashing in.

Lib Dem candidate Bobby Dean is calling on supermarkets to stop charging customers rip-off prices for failing to have a loyalty card.

Supermarkets have long offered shoppers points or discounts for joining a loyalty scheme, but many are now punishing customers without loyalty cards with sky-high prices.

In one store, for example, tea bags are £2.95 for loyalty card holders, but £5.50 for those without one.

Bobby is calling on the regulators to get a grip on this dodgy pricing practice and stop the supermarket loyalty card rip-off now.
