About us

We have a 40 year record of standing up for Sutton

Liberal Democrats have run Sutton Council since 1990.

Local people put their trust in us again at the last local elections, voting in 29 Lib Dems Councillors to stand up for their communities.

Together, we are supporting our strong local economy by transforming Sutton High Street, backing local business and creating local jobs.

We are keeping Sutton a great place to live by protecting our local environment and heritage, improving our schools, keeping our borough clean and building award-winning affordable housing.

And we are standing up for Sutton by fighting for our NHS, campaigning for better public transport and supporting local people with the rising cost of living.

Fighting for our borough in Westminster.

Sutton Borough has two parliamentary constituencies: Carshalton & Wallington and Sutton & Cheam.

Both seats are represented by hardworking Lib Dem MPs -- Bobby Dean and Luke Taylor.

The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity.
