North Cheam Lib Dems on Windsor Avenue

Sign the Petition: Zebra Crossing on Windsor Ave

Local residents have raised concerns about road safety at the junction of Windsor Avenue and Matlock Crescent in North Cheam.

Visibility of oncoming traffic for cars turning into Windsor Avenue and for pedestrians, including children walking to school, is very limited. As some drivers fail to observe the 20mph speed limit and some park their cars and vans close to the corner of the junction, we believe a formal zebra crossing is no longer a luxury, but a necessity for the safety of our children, elderly residents, and those with limited mobility.

By signing the petition below, you help us demonstrate the strength of local feeling to the Council. We will use these results to ask that the Highways Department prioritizes Windsor Avenue for safety improvements in the 2026 budget.

A new Zebra Crossing on Windsor Avenue!

We, the undersigned, ask that a zebra crossing be installed on Windsor Avenue by the junction with Matlock Crescent.
