Tackling persistent flooding on Guy Rd
Drain clearing has been carried out on Guy Road to tackle a long-running flooding problem at the bottom of the road after periods of heavy rain.
The Beddington Liberal Democrat team inspected the area and found several drains were blocked with silt. After
reporting the problem, the drains were cleared by contractors using high-pressure jetting and are now flowing
freely.
Cllr Rob Leah said: “We are really pleased to see this long-standing flooding problem has been addressed. We will continue to monitor the situation and raise it again if the problem recurs. Please let us know if there is any
flooding elsewhere in the ward so we can take action.”
