Put Fans Back at the Heart of Football says Local MP Bobby

Bobby Dean MP, championed Lib Dem plans to put fans right back at the heart of our national game by making more live football available on free-to-air television and giving fans a proper say in the running of their clubs.
Liberal Democrats put forward plans to parliament for ten Premier League matches per season to be shown on free-to-air television.
Bobby Dean MP argued that this reform is essential because "people have felt in recent years that the game has drifted away from them.” He added that "[The current system] certainly works well for the Premier League, but I am not sure whether it works well for all fans." and argued that the small number of games proposed "would not destroy the Premier League’s product, but it would make games so much more accessible to the next generation of fans."
