Police step up action on anti-social behaviour in Beddington Park
Police are stepping up patrols in Beddington Park following concerns from residents about anti-social behaviour.
Over the summer, there has been an increase in littering in the park, particularly from large groups gathering at weekends.
The use of illegal e-bikes is also a growing concern, with high-speed bikes posing a risk to other people using the park.
Bobby Dean MP and Cllr Aaron Goater recently met with local police in Beddington Park to raise residents’ concerns and discuss what more can be done.
Following the meeting, police committed to carrying out additional patrols in the park, particularly at weekends, and are looking at further measures to tackle anti-social behaviour.

“I've just been out with the police in Beddington Park, talking to them about a number of issues that residents have been raising.
“Things like anti-social behaviour, the prominence of e-bikes and also littering, particularly at the weekends.
“I know it's hot summer nights at the moment, people want to go out and enjoy themselves, but we need to be able to enforce the worst end of that behaviour as well.
“I'm glad they've taken down lots of notes. They said they're going to do additional patrols in the area, particularly at the weekends, and hopefully we'll start to see some improvements.”
