Improvements announced for 407 bus route
The number of buses on the 407 route will increase this autumn, with the changes expected to improve reliability and reduce overcrowding for passengers.
The 407 bus route connects Sutton, Wallington and Beddington with Croydon and Caterham.
Beddington Lib Dem Councillor Rob Leah has been campaigning for better local bus services and welcomed the announcement.
He said: “Residents have repeatedly told us how difficult unreliable and infrequent buses have made everyday journeys. These improvements are a positive step forward for our community.
We are also continuing to press Transport for London to restore the S4 service at peak times as it is a route that many local schoolchildren depend on.”
