Helping residents with damaged roofs

Residents whose roofs have been damaged by moss are set to benefit from a programme of roof replacements by Sutton Housing Partnership.

Councillor Colin Stears is also supporting residents by working with council officers to have nearby trees trimmed back, helping to reduce future moss while allowing more natural light into homes and gardens.

Councillor Colin Stears said: “Replacing the damaged roofs is welcome, but we also need to tackle the cause.

“Trimming back the trees will help protect homes in the future and improve light for residents.”
