COST OF CONSERVATIVES: Food prices up. Mortgage payments up. Energy bills up.

Local families are being hit hard by the worst cost of living crisis in a generation – and the Conservatives are doing nothing to help.

The cost of the weekly shop has soared, with essentials like milk up by 40%.

This comes as up to 1 in 3 familes face a huge 38% rise in mortgage payments.

Bobby Dean, who is running to be Carshalton & Wallington's next Lib Dem MP, said:

“So many people are really struggling right now.

“They’re worried about how they’re going to put food on the table and worried about how they’ll make the next mortgage payment.

“The Conservatives are so out of touch, they just don’t care about making things easier.

“The Lib Dems have common sense plans to help -- free school meals for every child in poverty, a fund to protect people at risk of losing their homes and a proper windfall tax on energy companies."
