Community Round-Up: Sewage & Summer Events

31 Jul 2023

Another busy period for Lib Dem Candidate Bobby Dean, who has been out and about supporting local events and visiting important local sites.

Bobby joined a delegation touring the Beddington Sewage Treatment Works, in order to better understand how wastewater is treated in the local area - and why sewage dumping into the Wandle sometimes takes place.

Bobby joined a police patrol around The Wrythe and Hackbridge, pointing out residents’ top areas of concern.

There were lots of community events to join in with this period, including the Wallington Music Festival, Carshalton Artists Open Studios (CAOS), Foster Carers BBQ, St Helier Music and Community Festival, the Summer Fun Day at The Quad and Poulter Park’s Landscape Artist Competition.

Finally, in his capacity as a local councillor, Bobby participated in the consultation for improvements at Limes Rec, joined the first meeting of the Friends of Wrythe Rec and represented Sutton at the “In Their Own Words” event for care leavers.
