Chester, a 5 year old Goldendoodle, has launched his campaign to be crowned Westminster Dog of the Year. Votes for Chester can be cast here.

Organised by Dogs Trust and The Royal Kennel Club, the event shines a spotlight on the importance of responsible breeding and puppy buying, positive training and socialisation, and responsible dog ownership; all of which play a vital role in giving every dog the opportunity to enjoy a happy, healthy life.

We caught up with Chester and Bobby to find out more.

What little habits or routines make your dog happiest?

Running free in the local park and diving into the river.

What is your favourite memory with your dog so far?

He was our ring-bearer on our wedding day.

Why should Chester be crowned Westminster Dog of the Year 2026?

He’s the kindest, handsomest boy. But he is feeling a little put out by our new baby arriving – so deserves some attention!
