Carshalton Boys careers day praised for “valuable” advice

Bobby Dean, MP for Carshalton & Wallington, visited Carshalton Boys Sports College for their Directions & Destinations Day, joining pupils and staff for a day focused on future pathways, careers and opportunities.

During the visit, Bobby met with pupils to hear about their ambitions and the subjects and careers they are considering. Bobby also spoke with staff about the importance of giving young people the guidance, encouragement and real-world insights they need as they plan their next steps.

“It was great to join Carshalton Boys for their Directions & Destinations Day. I really enjoyed speaking with pupils about their interests and aspirations, and hearing what opportunities they’re excited about for the future.

“Events like this can make a huge difference, helping young people understand the range of options available to them, and giving them the confidence to aim high. Huge thanks to the teachers and organisers who put on such a valuable day for students.”

Bobby thanked the school for the warm welcome and reiterated his commitment to supporting local schools and young people across Carshalton & Wallington.
