Bus garage agrees to new improvements

After concerns were raised with Sutton North Liberal Democrat councillors, we were grateful for the chance to recently visit Go-Ahead London’s Bus Garage on Bushey Road, and successfully lobbied them to act on speeding and littering around the Garage.

We met with the management team and highlighted residents’ concerns over the impact of speeding buses and the heavy weight of new electric buses damaging roads in the local area, especially Collingwood Road, presenting a high risk of vehicle damage and pedestrian injury. After our intervention, they have agreed to take action.

During the meeting, Vanessa and Yusuf also raised residents’ complaints about littering around the area of the garage. We have been reassured that the bus garage will work with us as councillors and with residents to address littering around the garage to ensure the area is kept clean.
