Bobby Dean features on BBC and ITV national election broadcast
Bobby Dean, the Lib Dem Parliamentary candidate for Carshalton and Wallington, has featured on a national election broadcast, to air on BBC One and ITV throughout April.
The Liberal Democrat party political broadcast is to be aired four times on the prime time 6:55 pm slot.
In the film, Bobby demands the government listens to local community needs on issues ranging from policing to potholes. The Liberal Democrats are focussing their local election campaign on the issues which matter to communities, including local health services, ending pollution in rivers and tackling crime.
The four parliamentary candidates featured in the film alongside Liberal Democrat Leader Ed Davey are all in marginal constituencies against the Conservative party.
The Liberal Democrats are a close second place in Carshalton and Wallington, just 629 votes behind the Conservatives.
Liberal Democrat Leader Ed Davey said:
“It is fantastic for the country to see the next generation of Liberal Democrat MPs who will fight for their local communities.
“These four candidates will take Westminster by storm, and finally put an end to years of Conservative neglect.
“Britain desperately needs change and a wave of new MPs with fresh ideas and a hunger to stand up for people. For the sake of our NHS and precious environment, the general election could not come soon enough.”
Liberal Democrat candidate for Carshalton and Wallington, Bobby Dean, said:
“I was delighted to take part in this national broadcast to make the case for politicians listening to local communities, and taking action on what really matters to local people.
“I am fed up with Conservative MPs going to Westminster and ignoring their constituents. We need an end to Conservative chaos and MPs playing silly political games.
“I want to be an MP who represents the views of my constituency, from potholes to policing. At the next election, it will be a two horse race here between the Liberal Democrats and a desperately out of touch Conservative party.”
