Following reports that the Night Tube is to return across London next month, Lib Dem campaigner Bobby Dean has criticised the Mayor of London for leaving out the Northern Line.

The Central and Victoria lines are due to reinstate the Night Tube service from 27 November, after the pandemic saw the service cut back. But there is still no open date for the Northern Line, which benefits many Carshalton & Wallington residents via Morden station just over the border.

Bobby Dean, Lib Dem Parliamentary Spokesperson for Carshalton & Wallington, said:

“Our borough doesn't have a tube stop. The night tube service via Morden is a lifeline to local people doing night shifts or going on a night out.

“So now the night tube is returning across London, why is the Northern Line being left out? It's outrageous and shows that the Mayor doesn’t think about the impact on outer London residents.”
