Beloved Elm Pond to be restored to its former glory

Elm Pond is to get a full makeover thanks to a successful bid for funding by your local Liberal Democrat Councillors and the Sutton Parks Team.

The pond had been looking a little tired recently and the works, which are due to start later this summer, will see the fish humanely removed, the pond drained and desilted, and repaired as required.

The work is set to be completed by early autumn  including restoring the fountain.

Lib Dem Councillor Sunita Gordon, said:
“We know how much Elm Pond means to the community, and we are delighted to see it being restored for all to enjoy.

"We’ll be keeping residents updated as the project moves forward so watch out for updates on our Facebook page.

We hope that people will come and see the improvements once it’s complete and there  may even be a big fountain switch on!”
