Excellent progress is being made on Sutton's new build council homes.
Lib Dem Sutton Council are delivering 93 new council homes across three sites: Fellowes Road in Carshalton, Richmond Green in Beddington and Alcester Road in Wallington.
At the first site, Fellowes Road, the Council are delivering 15 new family houses, in Wallington there will be 57 flats, and the remaining 21 will be family homes at Richmond Green.
Cllr Jayne McCoy, Chair of Sutton Council’s housing committee, said: "It is fantastic to see the first new council houses in a generation finally becoming a reality.
"We insisted on high-quality designs that will provide an excellent living environment for residents and enhance the local landscape.
"I look forward to welcoming the first families from our housing waiting list into their new homes in the near future."
All the homes are being built to a high standard both in specification and design, and some are being specially adapted for families with disabilities.
