Redevelopment brings more homes

Sutton's Lib Dem-run Council will shortly discuss the delivery of more sustainable housing and cut carbon emissions by converting the Council's Denmark Road office into new homes.

Flexible working patterns developed during the pandemic have reduced the Sutton Council's need for office space. The Council will turn this shift into a win for residents when they move to a single premises at Sutton's Civic Centre.

The move will reduce the Council's costs by £400,000 per year and cut carbon emissions. Redeveloping Denmark House will also contribute to the Council's successful building scheme, set to beat the London Mayor's 5-year home building target.
