Your Liberal Democrat Council in Sutton continues to fight for our public services and support our local NHS. Below are three highlights of the Lib Dem record on health and care in Sutton:
1. FIGHTING FOR ST HELIER HOSPITAL
Lib Dem-run Sutton Council is investing £28 million in St Helier, which is being used to improve and modernise hospital wards. This has come from the Council buying land from the NHS for the Cancer Hub in Belmont.
2. WORLD CLASS CANCER RESEARCH IN SUTTON
Your Liberal Democrat Council is buying some of the land to build the London Cancer Hub - As well as contributing cutting edge research in the fight against cancer, the campus will create more jobs and opportunities for local people.
3. BECOMING AN AGE FRIENDLY BOROUGH
The Liberal Democrats want to help care for people at all stages of their life and so have employed dementia-trained Admiral Nurses in order to give Sutton's most vulnerable residents the support they need. The Liberal Democrat Council is the only one in London to introduce these specialist nurses.
IT'S BETWEEN THE LIB DEMS AND THE TORIES IN SUTTON
The choice is clear - either the Liberal Democrats, who have always and will continue to fight to protect our NHS, or the Conservatives, who can't be trusted with it. Labour don't have a chance of winning in Sutton.
Will you back the Liberal Democrats today so we can continue to protect our NHS?
