Covid Garden of Remembrance

A year on from the first lockdown, Sutton Council has announced a garden of remembrance will be planted opposite St Helier Hospital.

The garden will honour those lost to the pandemic, and celebrate the spirit and hard work of the NHS workers who have carried Sutton through the pandemic.

Work started with tree planting, and the design will eventually include seating, sculptures and wildflower meadows. The garden is slated to officially open in spring 2022.
