Working to tackle parking problems around St Helier

As many local residents know, there are numerous parking problems in streets across St Helier.

2017 will see the start of Sutton Council’s Parking Strategy. St Helier is a priority area, making it first on the list for consultation and implementation.

Cllr Jean Crossby, Lib Dem Councillor for St Helier, said: “Parking is a massive issue. Over the last two years, most of our casework and meetings with local residents have been parking related.

“We have had parking on the agenda at the St Helier, The Wrythe and Wandle Valley Local Committee for the last 18 months. Your local Councillors would like to thank all the residents who have attended the Local Committee and told us what problems they have had in their streets.”

Jean added: “I urge you to take part in the parking consultation process once it begins and if possible attend Local Committee meetings. You can find out more about the Local Committee and its work here.

"Only by working together can we tackle St Helier’s parking problems.”
