Take a seat at Trinity Square

In 2014, local Councillors David Bartolucci, Vincent Galligan and Ali Mirhashem stood on a platform of improving Sutton and making it a better, safer and more comfortable place.

After listening to the views of residents, local Councillors lobbied Sutton Council to install new seating around Trinity Square.

They were successful and the new seating replaced the deteriorating wooden furnishings which were previously in place.

Lib Dem Councillor for Sutton Central Vincent Galligan said: "This is democracy in action. When we were elected, we listened to the views of residents and lobbied, on their behalf, to change the furnishings in the High Street.

"I am pleased with the Council's decision and hope we can work together in the future to further enhance the High Street.

"Sutton is a great place to live, work and raise a family - improvements like this are helping to make our area that little bit better."
