Ruth went to school in the borough and is a governor at a local primary school. She has represented Sutton North ward since 2002 and became Leader of the Council in 2012. She leads on Community Safety and is campaigning against the plans to merge Sutton Police with Croydon and Bromley.

Marlene has lived in Sutton for over 30 years, is married with three adult children and three granddaughters. She has served three terms on the council, is a school governor at All Saints Benhilton School, a trustee of Rosehill Community Association, Chair of Sutton Local Committee and Adult Carers Champion.

Steve has lived in Sutton since his schooldays and was a local Councillor in our area in the 1990s. He is a retired statistician, married with two daughters who were born at St Helier and attended local schools. Steve was re-elected to the Council in 2014 and has been the lead Councillor for libraries, arts and heritage.

Priorities:

  1. Tackle speeding and parking problems across our area.
  2. A new Village Green for local residents.
  3. Develop and age-friendly community right here in Sutton.
  4. Fight to protect St Helier Hospital and secure the funding it needs.
