2016 was a good year for the Sutton Life Centre! The Centre’s annual report reveals excellent customer satisfaction, increased bookings, and reduced net cost to the Sutton Council.
The Life Centre is a state of the art facility that promotes good citizenship, personal safety and the environment. There is a public library, climbing wall, sports pitch, meeting rooms and an award-winning Life Skills Zone for school visits. It works with local schools, organisations and services, like the Metropolitan Police and the Fire Brigade, to create a fantastic centre for education and the community.
The Life Centre continues to receive excellent feedback. One teacher even said that a visit to the centre ‘should be part of every school’s curriculum’. Feedback reflects the excellence of both the facilities and the staff – who were described by one customer as ‘positive and engaging’.
Bookings at the Life Centre have increased by 40% since 2015-2016. Many were repeat bookings from schools that had attended before. This has helped to reduce costs and provided the centre with a 23% increase in income. Costs for the council have reduced by over £100,000 since last year, bringing the Centre even closer to being cost neutral.
Open from Monday to Sunday, the Sutton Life Centre is a valuable part of the community that is constantly seeking to improve its services and efficiency. For more information about the centre and what it has to offer in the coming months, click here: www.suttonlifecentre.org
