New project launched to upgrade Limes Rec

27 Jul 2023

A project to improve Limes Avenue Recreation Ground has been launched by the charity Groundwork London and Sutton Council.

The project aims to enhance the Rec's appearance, improve biodiversity and make the Rec better equipped to tackle the challenges of climate change.

Residents’ feedback is being used to help shape the final design.

Lib Dem Councillor for The Wrythe, Bobby Dean, said:

“We were pleased to see many residents excited by the project and giving their feedback.

“The project will see new trees, long grass and bulbs planted, all while keeping a large open space for dog walking and sports.”
