Job vacancy

Part time job opportunity

Sutton Borough Liberal Democrats are seeking to employ someone in a permanent role for 20 hours per week as a Development Officer (download job description).

The job involves working with all 18 wards in the London Borough of Sutton to strengthen their campaigning capacity. In addition to working with the wards to develop their networks and find new volunteers, the successful applicant would also be expected to identify and encourage people to take up key roles in the management of the Local Party and to improve the Party’s fund raising ability.  See the attached job specification for further information.

The job would be based at our office at 234 Gander Green Lane with flexible hours. The salary is £793 per month (the London Living Wage) and the party would also make a pension contribution.

The job requires good interpersonal skills, the ability to develop a volunteer network and strong organisational abilities. Some knowledge of the national party’s computer system Connect would be an advantage (but training can be provided as necessary) and some knowledge of PagePlus publishing software.

If you would like to be considered for this position please send a copy of your CV to the Local Party Chair, John Drage (johnwdrage@btinternet.com)   along with a short note as to why you think you are the right person for this position by 31 August.

Interviews will be held on Saturday 12th September
